From One Man's Dream
to New Jersey's Finest
"I wanted every guest to taste the same pizza my grandmother made for us in Naples — honest, simple, and made with fire."
In 1991, Anthony Lombardi opened a small pizzeria along Route 17 in Ramsey, New Jersey with a single coal fired oven imported from southern Italy and a recipe passed down through four generations. What started as a neighborhood gem quickly became a destination — the place where locals celebrated milestones, families gathered on Friday nights, and first dates turned into lifelong memories.
The secret has always been the coal. Burning at temperatures exceeding 800°F, our ovens impart a uniquely charred, crispy crust and a depth of flavor that no gas or wood oven can replicate. We source only the finest San Marzano tomatoes, hand-pulled fresh mozzarella, and locally sourced produce to honor the simplicity of Neapolitan tradition.
Today, thirty-three years on, we remain family-owned and fiercely independent. The oven is still the heart of everything we do — and Anthony's grandchildren can now be found rolling dough in the same kitchen where it all began.
"Our mission is to preserve the ancient art of coal fired pizza — delivering an experience rooted in tradition, elevated by craftsmanship, and shared around the table with the people you love."
Our Core Values
Craftsmanship
Every pizza is hand-stretched, carefully topped, and tended with the same devotion our founder brought to his very first pie. No shortcuts, ever.
Freshness
We work with local farms and trusted suppliers to ensure only the freshest, seasonal ingredients reach your plate — from vine-ripened tomatoes to hand-pulled mozzarella.
Community
We are Ramsey's pizzeria. We sponsor local schools, support neighborhood events, and believe in giving back to the community that has supported us for decades.
Hospitality
From the moment you walk in, you're family. Our team is trained to deliver warm, attentive service that makes every visit feel like a special occasion.
